The Brief
Manly council wanted to update their existing CCTV systems around the main city streets. The officers of Manly city would like to get stree t video for faster response time to potential problems in the council’s main city areas that includes crime and traffic.

The main focus of the system is the general surveillance over the busiest part of the municipal. The officers can also liaise on with policemen, emergency departments, or other council departments with much faster response time when the needs arise.

The Challenge
The challenge was that there are two gates, front and rear, 600 meters away from each other. Each gate has few IP PTZs installed. To cable the PTZs become a difficult task at limited budge.

The Solution
How we achieved this was by using 10pcs of Merit Lilin IPS0358P custom made 240VAC IP Day & Night PTZ camera with 570TVL and a b rilliant 35X Optical Zoom lens t o zoom and to control the cameras from a great distance.

The network was connected by fiber modem to ensure data transmission at one kilometer away. The recording and the control were used by a 25-ch GVD VMS Software built on a 40TB server. Using the Live Cams apps, the officers of the council was able to log in and to control the PTZ with any iPhone or iPad for greater f lexibility.

The Result
The GVD system controls the IP PTZ with ease and flexibility. The IP PTZ mounted in the centre of the busiest intersection in Manly to provide the best video to the officers.

Members of the council stated they have seen and tested many PTZ cameras before, but they believe that LILIN PTZ was the best PTZ they have ever seen, especially the PTZ countered bright and low light conditions.
